Meet The Maker

Hi, I am Becky, the colour and pattern obsessed founder of Bonnie & Bold.
I wanted to take a second to tell you a little bit about me, the brand and how it came to be.
Transformation is one of my favourite words. I think this has formed the basis for my career in graphic design and printing, which has given me the ability to take an object or space from A to B. Transforming it from the tired to the desired.
After leaving college as qualified graphic designer, I started my career in the printing industry. Back then to present day, printing is still a very male dominated industry and I came up against a fair few challenges as a woman because of it.
In 2016 I had come to the realisation that freedom is actually super important to me (something which would become apparent in the products I now sell and I know is a feeling shared by my customers). So I launched my own printing business and became a mum all at the same time, I guess you could say I like a challenge!
Working with my baby in the office, I discovered very quickly that interiors were my forte. I am super passionate about the power a person’s environment has on mind, body and soul and that is how Bonnie & Bold came to be.
Carefully curating designs that I knew would tie in with contemporary, bold and beautiful living and working spaces, my vision settled upon the transformation offered by our wallpapers and vinyl coverings to completely re-energise the environments my clients find themselves in most.
You might be curious about what I mentioned earlier in relation to freedom. Well, I believe it is important that you don’t feel locked into your home interiors. What resonates with us at one point in life can be transient and this is why I love vinyl, it’s versatility and changeability. Super easy to apply and remove, you could choose to wrap a kitchen worktop in our salmon pink Terrazzo 011 one spring /summer season and then by winter change it to the grey green of Terrazzo 010. A room makeover at a fraction of the cost.
Also the ultimate option for those who rent flats and are restricted to the visual changes they can make, vinyl can be used on any flat surface to help them inject their own personality into their abode and upon moving on, it can simply be peeled off without leaving any marks or damage.
If you were to ask me if I have a favourite of our designs, I would have to say I am partial to the botanical designs. For anyone who perhaps does not have a garden, bringing the outdoors in can be important and we are all aware of the benefits of nature on a person’s mental health.
As I look ahead to 2023, I am feeling positive that this could the bonniest and the boldest year yet for the brand.
